Aldrich’s unique collaborative phasing approach kept the existing Kidney Stone Clinic fully operational during the renovation of their reception and procedure rooms and reduced the original project timeline by over a month. The early MEP design-build coordination and detailed site investigations eliminated the potential for costly schedule impacts during construction. Aldrich’s team worked with the plumbing and electrical subcontractors to adapt to the challenges in permitting and inspections during a pandemic to ensure the project finished on schedule and on budget.
The facility features three new reception/waiting areas, procedure and exam rooms, restrooms, and medical and administrative support spaces. Many of the exam rooms required custom design-build structural supports for patient lifts, surgical lights, and ceiling-mounted X-ray equipment. Coordination with hospital staff and strict infection control allowed the clinic to remain operational throughout construction.
Aldrich has a remarkably consistent culture through out its staff of construction professionals who take the time to do things right, on budget and schedule. Their ability to meet schedule is remarkable given the challenges of permitting and supply chain deliveries during a pandemic.
