Kelley-Ross Pharmacy (KRP) brought Aldrich on board to provide early conceptual budgeting even before an architect was selected. Aldrich supported the owner in selecting an architect and brought design-build mechanical and electrical subcontractors that teamed together to bring the best value to KRP. Early in the process, Aldrich provided a cost analysis to support KRP in their decision to utilize a modular clean room/anteroom system that ultimately met the owner's needs for functionality and high-level sterility for the compounding area. Testing of air sterility following completion far exceeded requirements for USP 797 Pharmaceutical Compounding – Sterile Preparations.
One of the challenges to the project was exhaust of caustic fumes from biosafety cabinet due to residential apartments above the medical office portion of the building. Aldrich strategized with the design-build HVAC subcontractor to utilize existing mechanical louvers meeting code requirements for separation from the residences.
Aldrich was great to work with as they were professional and highly competent. I had a smaller project with some unique challenges and the Aldrich staff did an excellent job helping me navigate the unknowns and solve problems. I would certainly work with them again.
