Aldrich was brought on board to support the feasibility of renovating an existing veterinary hospital. Based on Aldrich’s assessment of costs to upgrade the existing infrastructure and challenges in keeping the hospital fully operational during construction, it was recommended the owner consider relocating. Once a new location had been identified, Aldrich supported preliminary budgeting and coordinated design-build plumbing, HVAC, and electrical services.
During construction, Aldrich coordinated with adjacent tenants to mitigate noise and vibration. The project was completed on time and with less than $5,000 in changes resulting from additional scope.
The new hospital provided much-needed growth and program space for separated canine and feline exam rooms, surgery, treatment, dental, pharmacy, x-ray, isolation, recovery, and wards. A new backup generator was installed to support the facility during power failure.
Aldrich was a pleasure to work with. They were helpful in navigating budgets, offering alternatives, communicating, and meeting expectation. We felt like a team the entire time and hope to work with them again.
