Aldrich supported Proliance Orthopedic Associates in the development of their new medical office building in Covington to house an orthopedic clinic, physical therapy, x-ray, MRI, and ultrasound. Our involvement began in the early conceptual phase of the project evaluating site layout and options for building configuration and structural schemes and continuing through each design phase in budgeting, scheduling, and design document review.
A significant challenge to the project was the necessary relocation of existing overhead power lines to underground. This activity was critical to allow structural steel erection to occur on schedule. Aldrich took the lead in coordinating with Puget Sound Energy, the City of Covington, and other utility providers early in preconstruction to ensure this work did not impact the overall project schedule. Our efforts resulted in the successful relocation of utilities despite significant challenges and changes by the City and PSE throughout the process.
Aldrich went the 'extra mile' in executing this project. We worked with separate agencies for water and sewer services, as well as the City of Covington. In addition, we had a complicated off site power services relocation and installation. In all of these areas, Aldrich provided outstanding support and project management, which allowed us to complete the project on schedule.
