Seattle Design Festival A Breeze Thanks to Mahlum!

Aldrich Partnered with Mahlum for their Lofty Lines Installation at this Years’ Seattle Design Festival

Aldrich partnered with Mahlum for this years’ Seattle Design Festival where thousands of spectators descended on South Lake Union over the weekend. Mahlum’s Lofty Lines themed installation focused on sustainable practices. “What if we made more sustainable daily choices?” What if we all hung our clothes out to dry? Think of the resources we could save in our communities. #designWHATIF

As the build partner for the project, Aldrich team members constructed solid-footed wood supports from which lines of donated clothing and linens were strung. The resulting sustainably conscious breezy display “sparked joy” as intended and was designed as portable for reuse without disturbing the soil.
