Egg-cellent Communication

Aldrich + Associate’s gathered in late January for a corporate meeting, luncheon, and communications training at McMenamins Anderson School in Bothell. The event was a perfect opportunity to announce the company’s leadership succession and share the findings of a recent employee survey.

The survey identified opportunities for growth and improvements, but also affirmed the qualities that differentiate Aldrich from other companies. Its clear employees feel Aldrich is a family-oriented company where their efforts and opinions matter. In conclusion, Aldrich is a great place to work!

After lunch, the A+ Team participated in communications training. Topics covered the rules and 'eggs-pectations' of 'egg-cellent' verbal and written communications, while group activities helped demonstrate the value of collaboration, and how asking the right questions, gets results.

One ‘eggs-ercise’ involved teams working together to interpret and follow instructions, selectively purchase supplies, and utilize all available resources to build the best “egg catcher”. The goal was to keep a raw egg from breaking as it plummeted from the ceiling to the floor. The winning team of Elmer Campuzano, Cameron Monda, Chase Klingele, Liz Lipps, Kelley Osterholtz and John Schuh successfully kept the egg intact while keeping production costs low.
